Here at St. Francis of Assisi
Catholic Student Center, we are
dedicated to serving the spiritual needs
of students attending Northeast
Mississippi Community College.Whether
you live in Booneville or any of the
surrounding cities & counties, the Catholic
Student Center is available to all
religious-minded students, Catholic or
not, who are willing to share their
faith, and give & receive support
& encouragement throughout the
academic year.
Our first meeting this year will be
held on Wednesday, August 29,
2007, at 7:00 p.m. with monthly
meetings held on the last Wednesday of
each month - same time, same place - at
the Parish Hall of St. Francis of Assisi
Catholic Church. We are located at 721 N.
College Street (see map), approximately one
block south of Cunningham Blvd. Program
plans will be determined with regards to
student input and interests during this
initial meeting. There will be food
& fun so bring your
appetite and bring a
friend!
Other programs available through St.
Francis of Assisi Catholic Church:
- Sunday Mass at 11:15 a.m.
- Reconciliation is by
request after Sunday
Mass.
- R.C.I.A. (Right of
Christian Initiation for
Adults).
- Tuesdays, from 3:30 p.m.
- 4:30 p.m. at the Parish
house: Beginning on
October 2, 2007, all
college students and
adults are invited to
gather for an hour of
prayer with opportunities
to learn,
listen, share
and gather support
from one another while
using the Psalms. Come
and learn how to apply
the psalms to the signs
of our times. All are
welcome.
- Adoration and Prayer
every Tuesday afternoon
from 1:00 p.m. - 4:30
p.m.
- Sacramental Programs
(Baptism, First Holy
Communion,
Reconciliation,
Confirmation, Marriage,
Anointing of the Sick).
- NEW for
2007-2008 is a
parish-wide Sunday
seasonal preparation for
the seasons of Advent,
Lent, &
Easter/Pentecost. These
intergenerational
gatherings will begin at
9:00 a.m. with a
continental breakfast,
program runs from 9:30
a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
